Each procedure is performed by consultant-led teams with dedicated theatre, ICU and perfusion support.

Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting
Off-pump and on-pump CABG for multivessel coronary artery disease. Our surgeons use arterial grafting techniques to ensure long-term patency and optimal patient outcomes.

Valve Surgery
Repair and replacement of aortic, mitral and tricuspid valves, including rheumatic disease. We favour valve repair when feasible, with mechanical and bioprosthetic options.

Congenital Heart Repair
Palliation and definitive repair for paediatric and adult congenital heart disease. Multidisciplinary planning with paediatric cardiology for complex cases.

Thoracic Oncology
Lung and mediastinal tumour resection with staged, multidisciplinary care. Integrated oncology pathway with histopathology and oncology teams.

Interventional Cardiology
Diagnostic angiography, percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) and structural heart procedures. Catheterisation laboratory with haemodynamic monitoring.

Cardiac Imaging & Diagnostics
Echocardiography (transthoracic and transoesophageal), CT coronary angiography, cardiac MRI and nuclear cardiology. Comprehensive pre-operative assessment.

Aortic Surgery
Open and endovascular repair of thoracic and thoracoabdominal aortic aneurysms and dissections. Emergency aortic on-call service.

Cardiac Reoperation
Redo sternotomy and revision surgery for patients requiring re-intervention after prior cardiac surgery.

Mechanical Circulatory Support
Intra-aortic balloon pump, ECMO and ventricular assist devices for peri-operative haemodynamic support.

Multidisciplinary, patient-centred care
Every patient is reviewed by a multidisciplinary team — cardiologists, surgeons, anaesthetists, perfusionists and specialist nurses — before any procedure.
Pre-operative assessment
Comprehensive evaluation including echocardiography, blood work, and anaesthetic review to confirm fitness for surgery.
Multidisciplinary planning
The MDT reviews imaging, lab results and patient history to agree the optimal surgical strategy.
Surgical procedure
Consultant-led surgery in dedicated cardiac theatres with cardiopulmonary bypass, perfusion and intra-operative monitoring.
Post-operative care
Monitored recovery in cardiac ICU with structured weaning, pain management and early mobilisation protocols.
Emergency Access
24/7 urgent cardiac referrals
Time-critical cardiac emergencies — acute aortic syndromes, unstable coronary events, penetrating chest trauma — are triaged and managed around the clock. Urgent referrals are routed directly to the on-call consultant team.
